2026 March Break Classes
A Seasonal Outdoor Camp for ages 4-10 | March Break 2026 at Trout Lake
With a 6:1 child-to-educator ratio, our March Break camp offers an immersive nature experience focused on team-building, creative exploration, STEM activities, and outdoor play.
A Day in the Life at Sunhouse Academy | 9am-2pm or 9am-3pm
Morning Walk & Nature Connection
We start each day with a peaceful trail walk—about two-thirds around the lake. This helps calm busy minds, regulate emotions, and ease energy, creating space for children to connect with nature, friends, and their teachers. Along the way, we use fun I Spy-style scavenger hunt cards to encourage observation and curiosity.
Shared Meal Times
We eat together twice a day—once mid-morning and once early afternoon. These group meals are more than just snack time; they're a chance for children to connect, tell stories, laugh, and build a sense of community.
Daily STEM Explorations
Each day includes hands-on STEM activities (such as kite building, mini shelter building, or nature-based experiments) designed to spark curiosity and build critical thinking. These experiences are playful, tactile, and age-appropriate.
Session-Based Camp Activities
Our camp includes engaging adventure and outdoor activities throughout each session, focusing on team-building and creative exploration. These fun activities give children opportunities to develop confidence and social skills.
Child-Led Play & Mud Kitchen Magic
Every day includes generous time for free, child-led play. Whether it's climbing trees, exploring the forest, or creating recipes in the mud kitchen at the beach, children are encouraged to follow their curiosity and build social-emotional skills in real-time. Educators are always nearby and engaged; to guide, support, and spark conversation when needed.
Teacher-Led Enrichment Activities
We balance the day with short, structured activities led by our team—ranging from crafts and dance to group games, singing and reading stories. These sessions are intentionally kept short and fun, respecting the children's interests and natural attention spans.
Important Information: This Seasonal Outdoor Camp is designed for children ages 4-10 who are able to stay within sight of the group and ready to engage safely and independently in an outdoor environment. With our 6:1 child-to-educator ratio, we ensure personalized attention and safety. Please note that our camps do not run on statutory holidays. By securing a non-refundable enrolment, you agree to these terms.
